730 x 730 Challenge – week 3

A quick update on week 3 of the challenge. This week was the first time the word count was under threat – spending time with the kids in their holidays, pacing the courtyard, going back to work, editing Zombie RiZing book 2, computer crashing issues (including losing words) and hitting a roadblock on War & Quel.

But I think this challenge is already making me change my mindset on the writing process. You see, not reaching the word count was not an option and, given that, I just have to find a way to do it. And before we hear the sound of distant Olympic style fanfare, let me add, it wasn’t that hard. Really. It was just a matter of small amount of planning and a little bit of thinking on my feet and mission three was completed.

And now I sit 21 days into the challenge with 21 thousand words in the bank.

For the record I got slightly bogged down on War & Quel, and flipped my writing energy to Zombie RiZing 3: Life and Beath to reach the count. In the background I think I’ve solved the War & Quel issue and I’ll be ready to jump back in shortly – on the sprint to the finish.

Now for the numbers…
