I can’t believe I’ve been so slack on my website! So, cough, erm, yeah, in case you missed it, War Parade: Apocalypse Survivors Norwood 2 was released in late 2023. The follows on from the event at the end of The Parade: Apocalypse Survivors Norwood as the situation in the east of the the former city of Adelaide starts to get even more dire in the wake of the comet strike. Follow Zoe and crew as they come to terms with betrayal and loss as the realisation that nothing was at its seems hits home and the desperately try to find some sense an d control in the chaos.
Thanks for all the amazing reader feedback so far. I’ve really been enjoying the challenge that writing this series brings. Not only am I working my way though the overwhelming changes in every aspect of life the survivors must have faces, I am also weaving those moments into the pre-existing lore of the Apocalypse Survivors universe based on the original series – Apocalypse: Diary of a Survivor.
Without giving the events of this story away, by its end, it’ll be clear the two worlds are destined to further overlap as the battle for supplies and survival leaves no other choice.
Also, writing the book while living on the streets of Norwood proved to be more advantageous that I could have imagined when I set out. I’m always striving for am much authenticity as possible in my stories. When the research is a simple as walking over to the location to experience the lay of the land to understand hw it might be used in, say, battle, really helped in bringing a realness to every action moment. Not only that, but I was able to uncover a few secrets that Norwood had to offer (it’s amazing what you find when you dig around). Again, without giving anything away, I found more than I bargained for, resulting *redacted* that will connected the old series and the new.
Anyway, that was a good feeling 🙂
