One of my favourite parts of releasing a book is developing the cover. Being a designer allows my to create a look and feel the reflects the words and tone of the work, and hopefully stands out (in a good way) to potential readers.
This feeling is double with the Zombie RiZing series as I get to work with the legendary illustrator Steve Grice and nothing I can do from a design P.O.V. compares to what Gricey can put together in an illustration. Seriously, check out the cover for A Fate Worse Than Beath below. He’s absolutely nailed it, with Beath and Z-Hang fleeing the Giant!
