I really thought I’d be celebrating the completion of the first draft of Starship Dorsano Chronicles: War & Quel… but I’m not. I’m so, so close though.
I hit my weekly word count, it’s just a case of the end of the book spreading out further than I thought. It happens, I guess, and given the word count now is only 87.5k and I was aiming for 85k, well, I’m pretty happy.
When I say I’m close, I mean less than 1000 words! I should knock that off tomorrow, which leaves me 3500 over my target. I’m confident it’ll settle back closer to the 85k once I’ve taken the clippers to it.
So, next week – big news. For now it’s to the numbers…
