Just want to wish everyone a belated happy new year!
I hope all is well, Santa was kind and that 2019 brings good things to your life.

I know it’ll keep me busy.
First cab off the rank this year will be a new Zombie RiZing instalment.
I’ve just finalised the proofs for ZR7 and 8. I am super pleased with where this series is going. ZR9 in just having some final proofing before I make changes and send to the editor, but it rounds off the trilogy nicely. I will release them as one three-book volume… as I did with ZR1-3 and ZR4-6.
The challenge
My challenge for next year (well, one of them) is opening up this series to a wider readership. While it’s about teens, who start at around 13yo, the themes, dialogue, action and progression of the series, would appeal to a much wider range of people than I currently target at events. Think a Stranger Things type vibe. So, that’s my challenge for the series my editor rates higher than Apocalypse!
Hmmm.

Plans for 2019.
Writing
I hope to launch to the ZR7-9 volume in the first quarter of 2019. I’m currently juggling that with the first draft of Apoc 4, which I hope to launch mid-year. The next writing project is still up in the air. It will be a toss-up between ZR10-12 or a… wait for it… new series. Not sure which one comes first yet.

If I do start the new series next, again, I have a few ideas on the go. They are all quiet advanced (in my head), feel free to email me if one in particular is calling to you.
The Parade
A sidequel to the Apocalypse: Diary of a Survivor series. This time told in third person with a cast of characters and a female lead.
Untitled zombie series
Aussie story, aimed at an adult audience, with a new take on the genre and a twist you (hopefully) won’t see coming.
Scifi buddy cop comedy
Think a Brooklyn 99 humour in a futuristic Australian setting.
Possible collaboration project
Also sci-fi comedy

Exhibiting
I will be returning to Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Auckland as well as many events in Adelaide next year. I am super excited to return to Melbourne and Auckland, as well as build on the amazing things that have happened in Sydney and Brisbane during my two visits there.
I will have my new guestbook with me and would love to have you come say hi and make a little contribution in ink 🙂
All going to plan, Melbourne Supanova will see me launch Zombie RiZing 7-9 and Sydney Supanova will see the launch of Apocalypse: Diary of a Survivor 4.
…we’ll work on a launch date for the next project after that.

Nearing 100 Goodreads ratings
I’m a bit excited that Apocalypse: Diary of a Survivor is nearing the 100-ratings mark on Goodreads.com!
It feels like a significant milestone for the book and, I believe, will give it a little more gravitas to a wider reading audience when it does raise the bat, as they say. This is especially true with a global ebook audience, so I’m pretty pleased.
If you are on Goodreads and would like to rate/review any of my books you have read, you can do so here. You will make this author very happy.

Thanks and see you in 2019
Thanks for being a part of my 2018. I can’t tell you how much I love doing this and a big part of ‘this’ is about how you guys connect with my work. Basically, I want to keep doing it – I think I’m just drawn to it… I just must. More cool (hopefully) Aussie genre fiction stories that capture your imagination to come.
Enjoy your new year’s period and hopefully see you again before the date hits 2020!
