Beath defying – 730 x 730 challenge – week 10

Wow, ten weeks into the challenge. I can’t believe I’m that far in, or that I have nearly 60,000 words in the rear-view mirror.

That’s gone quick. 10 down, 92 to go.

I’m back in business on War and Quel, which is a relief. I’ve come up with a narrative device to tie the worrying storylines together in a way that is very much in keeping with the series to-date. It’s also a style to delves into the more personal thoughts and desires of the lead characters, which is exactly what the draft needed. I have another 3-4 passages to write, then, hopefully, they’ll slot seamlessly into the draft and I’m away!

Meanwhile, Zombie RiZing is getting crazy. I’m knee deep into book 5 of the 6 book first series and, seriously, things have escalated. I’ve got the rest  plotted out so now it’s just a matter of smashing the keyboard until I hit the finish line.

Meanwhile, Justin sent me a draft version of the audiobook version of A Fate Worse Than Beath – and it’s a cracker. I can’t wait until this one is out there.

After a recent sale on Apocalypse I received a number of kinds emails from readers. It’s really a buzz when someone who reads your work takes the time to send you an email. It shows readers get as invested in the story as I was writing it, and that gives me a real energy to keep this writing momentum up, especially knowing the next book I start is the sequel.
