Week 9 of the challenge saw a couple of milestones pass by – I past the two month mark and the 50,000 word mark. All of which puts me on a 25k words/month pace, or to put it another way, I’m completing the equivalent of half a NaNoWriMo every month. If I keep that up for the last 11/12ths of the challenge I’ll have a lazy 600,000 words under my belt when I hit the finish line.
That sort of figure blows me away, as all I’m doing it putting one foot in front of the other and setting myself small goals each day. Boy, does it grow quickly.
This week I managed to plot out the final two books in the first series of Zombie RiZing. I am so excited with where it’s all headed and can’t wait to get those words down.
I’ve also started getting back into War & Quel. I’ve nearly finished my read of the first 60k words, but I’m far enough in to know what I need to do to fill in the holes in the manuscript.
My plan is to ramp back up the writing so when ZR5 and ZR6 are complete I can roll straight into the rest of W&Q (KOTW2).
