On the button – 730 x 730 challenge – week 11

Don’t you love it when things just fall into place? This was one of those weeks.

First of all, I’ve just had the pleasure of listen to Justin Braine’s final edit of A Fate Worse Than Beath: Zombie RiZing 2 – and it’s fantastic. I’ll be posting that to the fine folk at Audible shortly.

It’s great to have a third audiobook heading out to market and it also means the next project Justin starts on it Apocalypse: Diary of a Survivor. I can’t wait to see what he does with that. I think the diary format is tailor made for the audiobook treatment – I’m looking forward to hearing Justin’s performance of Jack as the world around him falls apart… literally.

Meanwhile the $0.99 sale on Kings of the World went well last week and it seems to have been picked up somewhere through someone… or something and the sales have continued. It’s a great result and gives me all the more encouragement to reach the finish line with the first draft of the sequel – War & Quel.

I was also lucky enough to receive some very nice 5-star reviews for Apocalypse and Kings of the World. It’s such a great motivator when people, strangers, fiction fans, have something nice to say about your work.  It certainly keeps the winds in the sails!

Word count wise was just cruising this week. I’ve been working on both War &  Quel and ZR5: Beath Becomes Her (title change), but the best bit was tonight. I knew I had a few words ahead of me today so I smashed out a chapter of ZR5 (getting towards the epic conclusion), anyways, I finish the chapter, tally up my word count and what do you know – 5110 on the button. I guess you could call that a happy accident, although that term sounds somewhat grimier than I’d like.

There you go – a good week. I should sign off with the numbers now having thoroughly jinxed next week to be a abject failure!
